Worship

The normal time for services is 11:00 each Sunday morning. Every few weeks however the Sunday morning service takes place at Chapel Lane Methodist Church in Dudleston Heath. Check the Events Page to find out exactly when and where services are planned.

Services are most often led by lay (Local) Preachers and sometimes by one of the ministers in the Shropshire and the Marches Circuit. They generally consist of hymns, prayers, bible readings and a sermon. During each service a free will offering is taken which goes toward the upkeep of the church. The complete service lasts an hour and the sermon is usually 10-15 minutes in length. Coffee and tea are available after the service. At present the Church does not have a Sunday School but families with children are welcome at all our services.

About once a month a service of Holy Communion is held. In this service all those who love the Lord Jesus (not just church members) are invited to share bread and (non-alcoholic) wine.

Every three months there is a Messy Church session. This usually takes place at 16:00 on a Sunday. This is suitable for people of all ages but especially suitable for families with children. Messy Church allows an opportunity to make things, to eat and drink together and a time for reflection.

As you might expect, the Church also hosts christenings, weddings and funerals.
